Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Koomzy (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Operator & regions

The Service is operated for users in Korea and the United States, hosted primarily in the United States. Legal entity and registered business details will be published when available.

2. Eligibility

United States: You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your state). If under 18, you represent you have parental consent where required.
Korea: You must be at least 14 years old, or have verifiable guardian consent if younger as required by applicable law.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your credentials and activity. Provide accurate information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or law.

4. Service description

Koomzy provides community reading and writing, optional growth mechanics (experience, levels, virtual currencies), a world map, and an item shop. Features may change. The Service is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

5. User content

You retain ownership of content you post. You grant Koomzy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You must not post illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or harmful content. Automated filters and human moderation may apply.

6. Virtual items & balances

Points, Koom Coin, influence, experience, levels, map deployments, and shop items are limited, revocable licenses within the Service. They have no real-world cash value, are not transferable outside the Service, and may be adjusted for balance, abuse prevention, or discontinuation. No refunds for virtual items except where required by mandatory consumer law.

7. Prohibited conduct

Including: spam, scraping, cheating growth systems, evading sanctions, impersonation, malware, unauthorized access, or interfering with other users.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Community content is user-generated.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOOMZY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $100 OR AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Governing law & disputes

United States users (default): Laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except mandatory consumer protections in your state of residence.
Korea users: Mandatory provisions of Korean law (including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Framework Act on Consumers) apply where they cannot be waived by contract. Disputes may be submitted to competent courts in Korea or consumer dispute resolution bodies as applicable.

11. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
